Richmond businesses among Canada’s best managed companies once again
These two companies have kept their title for the past decade.
Two Richmond businesses have earned their title as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies again this year.
Great Little Box Company (GLBC) and OpenRoad Auto Group both received awards for maintaining their “best managed” titles for their 10th and 11th year, respectively, in a row.
The Canada’s Best Managed Companies award recognizes excellence in Canadian headquartered companies demonstrating leadership in strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment and finances to sustainable growth.
Both companies achieve the Platinum Club status in the awards program, which is given to businesses that hold onto the “best managed” title for seven consecutive years or more.
Brad Tindall, president of GLBC, said they are proud to accept the award again.
“As our company celebrates our 40th anniversary we’re grateful for the fact that people tell us today that their favourite part of the job is their co-workers, and it’s the same answer that people gave 20 years ago when the company was so much smaller,” said Brad.
Meanwhile, CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group Christian Chia said being recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies every year for a decade “speaks volumes” about their team.
“We are amongst some of the country’s top businesses – a true testament to the guiding path we have set forth for OpenRoad since inception – an automotive group committed to modernizing the car buying and ownership experience,” said Chia.
Courage, resourcefulness and creativity are all areas that the winners displayed this year, said Lorrie King, co-leader of Canada’s Best Managed Companies program.
“We’re extremely proud to recognize their impressive achievements in such a rapidly changing business world. Their successes demonstrate the importance of strong leadership and forethought in driving long-term growth.”
